【Notice】

To allow more players to enjoy Flight Events, starting with Magic Taisen Fest 2026 KYOTO, a cooldown period of approximately 20 minutes will be enforced after each Flight Event participation before joining another Flight Event.
Once the cooldown period has ended, you may join another Flight Event.
This rule is intended to provide participation opportunities for a wider range of players and help ensure smooth event operations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

A “4‑Player Flight” is an on‑demand event that starts as soon as four players have signed up. These events fire immediately once the pod is full.

Best‑of‑Three (BO3) events are run as traditional match play with sideboards.

The number of coupons required to join varies by event. Events that require coupons will use the Battle Event Coupons included in the Magic TAISENSAI packages or in the Battle Event Packs sold at the venue.

Events that require a cash entry fee must be paid in cash at the Flight Event Registration Desk.

The Expert Standard BO3 event follows the same structure as the regular 4-Player Flight Standard BO3, but features a different coupon and stamp payout system, along with a match time limit.

While the participation stamp reward is smaller, the victory stamp rewards are significantly higher, allowing successful players to earn substantially more stamps than in a standard Flight Event.

Each match has a 50-minute time limit. A timer will be provided for each table, and players are responsible for managing their own match time. Please consult a judge regarding end-of-round procedures once time has expired.

With its high-risk, high-reward structure, this event is recommended for players confident in their skills.

It is also a great option for players aiming for top-tier prize rewards, as it offers the opportunity to earn a large number of stamps in relatively few matches.

Unlike other Flight Events, this event will use an individual result-reporting system. Players may report their results as soon as they have completed both rounds and do not need to wait for the other matches at their table to finish before submitting their results.

In the 4-Player Flight Commander event, players will be seated based on the power level of the deck they are using. Deck power levels will be determined using the Commander Brackets (Beta) system, with matchmaking divided across all five bracket levels.

Please note that wait times may be longer for certain bracket levels depending on player availability. If you would like to maximize the number of games you can play throughout the event, we recommend bringing decks from multiple bracket levels.

3-on-3 Sealed

A 3-player team battle event!
Team up with your friends and join the fun!

What Is 3-on-3 Sealed?

In this team event, three players open 12 booster packs and build a total of three decks, one for each player, before competing as a team.

Teams play against other three-player teams using decks built from a shared card pool. Each player competes in an individual Best-of-One (BO1) match against their assigned opponent, and the team that wins at least two of the three matches wins the round.

The tournament consists of five Swiss rounds. At the conclusion of the event, every player on a team with three or more match wins will receive a The Theorist, Jace Beleren Foil Playmat.

Any remaining playmats will then be awarded through a Rock-Paper-Scissors Prize. Team representatives from teams that did not receive a playmat will participate, and the winning teams will each receive one playmat per player.

After all rounds have concluded, all participants who purchased a Magic Taisen Fest Package will receive stamps based on their team’s match-win total.
