⚠ Requirements for Participating in Match Events
To join a match event, you’ll need a Wizards Account and the Magic: The Gathering Companion app. Please make sure to set these up before arriving at the venue. (If you already have an MTG Arena account, you can log in with that.)🛍️ Important Notes About the Magic TAISENSAI Package
- There are three types of packages required for entry and participation: Basic Package, Premium Package, and 3-on-3 Event Package. Please purchase at least one of these in advance.
- Only one Basic or Premium Package may be purchased per person.
- All packages will be distributed at the venue on the day of the event.
- Packages cannot be changed or canceled after payment is completed.
- If you are unable to receive your package due to personal circumstances, we cannot offer shipping or refunds. Please make your purchase with this in mind.
- Entry times vary depending on the package you purchase.

Magic TAISENSAI 2025 TOKYO Premium Package
What Is the 3-on-3 Shield Event?
In this team-based event, three players build a total of three decks using 12 booster packs—each player selects four packs to create one deck.
Teams battle other three-player teams using decks built from a shared card pool. The team that wins two out of three individual BO1 matches is declared the winner.
The event consists of five rounds with 64 teams. Teams that achieve four or more wins will receive one foil-stamped “Gemstone Caverns” playmat per team member.
If fewer than 16 teams qualify, the remaining playmats will be distributed via a rock-paper-scissors bonus round.
Representatives from teams with fewer than four wins will compete, and winning teams will receive one playmat per member.
After all matches conclude, each participant will receive stamps based on their team’s win record.
